The Algoa Flying Club is a community dedicated to supporting safe and affordable flying, flight training, and pilot education.
Algoa Flying Club, including the Flight Training Division / Flight School finds its roots before the 2nd World war when the Port Elizabeth Aero Club was formed in 1929, training pilots on Tiger Moths. The club was reformed in 1956 as the Algoa Flying Club, named after Algoa Bay on the coast of which the city is situated. This makes the Algoa Flying Club one of the oldest & most established Flying Schools in South Africa.
Located at Port Elizabeth Airport, with its sophisticated instrument approach facilities & uncluttered skies, the Algoa Flying Club is the ideal place for both basic & advanced pilot training. The perfect environment to learn to fly. Our Flying School provides professional flying training from Private Pilot to Airline Transport Pilot licence, with standards that will ensure your success no matter what your aspirations are.
We are a South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) accredited Pilot Test Centre. There is no longer any concern of unnecessary delays in completing your Private Pilot Licence or Night Rating theory, as testing is now available at our flight school.

Amongst our members are pilots from all walks of life & include many seasoned flying instructors & seasoned airline pilots.
